Kaka will return at Milan on Monday or Tuesday, according to Cristiano Ruiu…

Real Madrid’s star Kaka wants to return to Milan, this is the news that is circulating these days.

In an interview for Telelombardia, the Brazilian journalist said that he is 100% sure that Kaka will join his former club Milan.

“I think that Milan will sign Kaka somewhere between Monday and Tuesday, observing the fact that the market closes on Wednesday.

“Real Madrid have waited until now to try to sell him, but none offer hasn’t arrived, yet.

“So it’s all logical, because you can realize that an agreement has already been reached with Kaka’s father, Bosco Leite, when he was in Milan few months ago.

“Kaka will arrive on a two year loan with 40% of his salary arriving by Real Madrid, the other 40% from Milan and a 20% will come from Brazil’s Sao Paulo.

”Practically a formula similar to Shevchenko’s. “, ended Ruiu.

As reported, Kaka’s wife has been recently spotted in Milan and is apparently looking for a new home, something like Via Saffi, which is owned by Milan player Pato.

According to milannews.it, Caroline has repeatedly phoned Barbara Berlusconi trying to persuade her and the staff to bring her husband back to Milan.

On Sunday, after Seria A opener against Cagliari, part of Milan’s staff will travel to Spain’s capital city to complete the final details of the deal.

FIFA’s agent is deeply convinced that Kaka will be Milan’s mysterious Mister X…

Speaking to Radio Sportiva, Fifa agent Andrea Bagnoli said that he was “more than sure” that Real Madrid’s Kaka will be Milan’s mysterious and yet unknown Mr. X.

He was asked about many different transfer plans, suggestions and rumors regarding Italy’s Serie A. But when asked about Milan, he assured that it will be their former star, Kaka.

“Speaking of Mister X, It has definitely something to do with someone’s return.

“Milan is currently working on bringing Kaka back, even though [Milan's CEO] Galliani has denied that possibility.

“That is my impression on this.” – said Bagnoli.

Also, according to the newest Italian reports, Milan will patiently wait until the end of the August and thus the end of the Summer transfer period, so that the deal will be closed exactly on August 31 and the same day the Brazilian will be presented on the San Siro.

THE ROSSONERI beat Malmo 3-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw earlier today. Milan took the lead through Antonio Cassano, but each side of half time Malmo scored to take the lead. In the last few minutes, Cassano set up young Kingsley Boateng for the leveller, and the Rossoneri won the penalty shootout that followed.

With several first team players unavailable for various reasons, Massimiliano Allegri fielded Marco Amelia in goal, with a back 4 of Luca Antonini, Daniele Bonera, youngster Rodrigo Ely, and at left back Taye Taiwo had a chance to get used to the Rossoneri shirt. In midfield, Gennaro Gattuso and Massimo Ambrosini were joined by Urby Emmanuelson, while Boateng started behind Ibrahimovic and Cassano in attack.

The opening 10 minutes of the game had little goalmouth action, neither side managed to put many solid good attacks together and the game suffered a s a result of it, it must be noted that Milan were under strength too, and maybe that’s why it was a bit of a slow starter, but it was improving as it went along.

Around the 25 minute mark, Milan took the lead! Following some good work on the wing from Urby Emmanuelson, the ball was played into the box by the dutchman, where Antonio Cassano was waiting to meet it with a simple header past the beaten goalkeeper, to give the Rossoneri the lead! Although it was just a pre-season game, it was good to see Antonio Cassano getting on the scoresheet given some of his form in the other games…

The goal lifted Milan’s pressure, and they initally looked better, however, less than 10 minutes after taking the lead, Malmo were level! After the defence allowed him a bit of space, Jimmy Durmaz cut inside around the 20-25 yard zone and blasted the shot goalwards! Marco Amelia was left helpless in the Milan as it smashed in off the crossbar at a ferocious pace! A stunning goal! It wasn’t exactly deserved, though perhaps the Milan backline had a lapse in concentration, nonethless, Dumaz took it very well.

Milan looked to get back on top instantly. The Rossoneri pressed on in the next 5 minutes and earned a dangerous free kick when Cassano showed good strength and skill to turn his back on the defender and win a free kick around 30 yards out, Ibrahimovic stepped up to take the shot and blasted it, however, he couldn’t keep it down low enough and with 5 minutes to go to the break, the scores remained level.

The half drew to a close with no more chances created, Milan were overall the better side of the half, and if it wasn’t for a moment of pure quality, Malmo would be behind, however, Cassano impressed in the first half, he seemed in better shape and much less lethargic than his other pre-season performances so far.

At half time, Massimo Oddo and Mark van Bommel were brought on for Kevin-Prince Boateng and Gennaro Gattuso (Abbiati also replaced Marco Amelia)

The second half started very badly for Milan. Within minutes, Malmo had taken a surprise lead following a well worked attack and a lack of co-ordination between Daniele Bonera and Rodrigo Ely (it was mainly Ely’s mistake, it has to be said), Malmo were in, and the Rossoneri were behind.

Less than quarter of an hour later, and Milan could have been back on level terms. Following a cross-come-shot from Van Bommel, Ibrahimovic had a chance to strike (briefly) but he snapped at the (admittedly difficult) chance and the score remained 2-1 to Malmo.

Around the 60 minute mark and Ibrahimovic took a knock to his ankle, and put an Ice pack on it on the bench, he was taken off, Comi was also brought on at this point

The next 10 mintues were difficult as the subs had taken the life out of the game whilst the Malmo players seemed determined to impress, and Malmo forced a good save from Christian Abbiati

Yet more subs were made with 20 minutes to go, with Taiwo and Rodrigo Ely going off for Abate and De Sciglio.

By this point Malmo actually looked the better team, fitness seemed to play an issue but someof the Milan players seemed slower/less fit than they reasonably should be with the season start only around 2 weeks away, on the plus side Abbiati dealt well with most of the trouble thrown his way, and Emmanuelson looked decent drifting wide in the second half too (it seemed he had more creative freedom)

With less than 5 minutes to go, Milan scored! But Comi’s goal was unfortunately ruled out for offside (correctly) Fortunately, less than a minute later, Milan scored! And this time it counted! Antonio Cassano played a great diagonal ball into the box, and Kingsley Boateng timed his run to perfection and headed the ball past the goalkeeper with ease to level the scoreline! A well worked goal and a great way to end the 90 minutes before penalties.

Malmo scored their first effort, and then Cassano stepped up to take Milan’s first, and scored in a slightly nonchelant but calm way! Malmo scored their second penalty, and Emmanuelson made no mistake with his penalty either. Christian Abbiati pulled off a fine save for Malmo’s 3rd penalty, before Massimo Oddo stepped up, and scored well, meaning Milan won the penalty shootout (it was a short 3 kick each one)

Best Moment: Kingsley’s leveller

Man of the Match: hard call, although he suffered a lag in the middle, Cassano for the goal & assist.

CESC FABREGAS is on the verge of completing his dream move to Barcelona and bringing an end to one of the longest transfer sagas of recent years.

The Arsenal midfielder, 24, is expected in Spain over the next 24 hours to complete a £36million move and commit to a five-year deal after lengthy negotiations took place on Friday.

He could be presented as a Barceloana player as early as tomorrow and potentially make his debut against Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday.

Fabregas is set to travel with the Barca squad to Madrid ahead of the match.

The influential midfielder had been a long-term target of the Catalan giants and as Spain celebrated their World Cup win last summer his team-mates teased him by pulling a Barcelona shirt over his head.

Spanish media claim Real Madrid are prepared to hand Kaka back to Milan for just €11m.

There have been many reports that the Brazilian would return to San Siro, but Vice-President Adriano Galliani always ruled it out because of the player’s wages.

However, El Mundo Deportivo newspaper suggests today that Real Madrid could release Kaka for just €11m.

It would be a huge drop in value, as the Spanish side broke world transfer records to sign him for €65m just two years ago.

Ricky has barely played over the last season due to a series of injuries and never quite settled at the Bernabeu.

According to another Spanish paper, As, Milan have instead offered to take Kaka on loan.

Presence of both chiefs in China has fuelled speculation they have started to discuss a transfer for the Brazilian playmaker, as they are preparing themselves for another meeting.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has met with Milan CEO Adriano Galliani, and the subject of talks was Kaka’s return to San Siro, according to a report in Spain.

Marca.com claims the two chiefs, who are both in China with their respective clubs, used the occasion to discuss a return to Serie A for the 29-year-old.

Also, the Spanish press now claim that the deal has been agreed. Kaka is expected to be loaned out to Milan on a free loan, with an option to sign him at the end of the season.

Kaka has long been linked with a return to Milan, where he enjoyed great success, after an unsettled two years at the Bernabeu. According to some sources, he has already agreed on everything in order to return to Milan, hoping to regain his playing form.

Milan’s coach Allegri left the door open for his return. “Kaka is an extraordinary player, but he is Real Marid’s for now. I don’t know, we will see…”

Now, the dinner between the two clubs’ vice-president in 14:00 CET will be the crucial one. But before that, Milan CEO Adriano Galliani is secretly watching Real Madrid’s match and is keeping a close eye on Kaka’s performance.

Madrid are currently meeting Tianjin Teda in a friendly and Kaka has scored the only goal so far, while Allegri’s men take on Inter in the Supercoppa Italiana.

Italian football has only lasted a year. We return to the recent past and therefore the possibility of registering any two non-EU players. A decision welcomed by big clubs and, among these, of course, Milan.

The Rossoneri may return to the assault by decision of their South American targets Danilo and Ganso in the first place. The two jewels of the Santos have a total cost about 60 million euros: Via Turati unlikely to be paid out as high a figure to take them both, but negotiations can take part. The playmaker would be first on the list, even if the uncertainty related to the physical frailty of the player (who is only 21 years) and performance is not too convincing with the club Sao Paulo and with the national team have a little ‘dampened the enthusiasm of Galliani and company .

The Brazilian club also has an armored vehicle out clause of around 50m euros until 2015 and seems unwilling to negotiate on price. Danilo also serve 20 million theoretically useful to terminate the contract with the Peixe, but Milan, Juve, as well as in the running for the right-back, not spend more than 10 million. 20 years to accomplish in a week, the player grew up in America Mineiro has been perhaps the most compelling and continuing in the double winning the Libertadores and Paulistao and could represent an investment of high-profile, because flexible and able to play multiple roles.

In fact, in recent weeks, executives with the Rossoneri have thought more names Hamsik, Schweinsteiger Fabregas and, although the two green-gold in the dressing room (Thiago Silva and Pato) are pushing for the arrival of their countrymen. Ganso and Danilo would travel to Milan and now remains to be seen whether and how to work up in Via Turati to try to soften the demands of Santos …

The news of FIGC relaxing the quota of number of non-EU signings from outside the peninsula is an opportunity for all Serie A clubs to get a better set of foreigners at an affordable price. A lot of club Presidents have hailed it and remarked it will serve to make the league more competitive.

The FIGC had taken the decision to reduce the number from two to one in 2010 in the aftermath of the South Africa debacle of the Azzurri. Now no direct co-relation was to be found for how intake of non-EU players would hamper growth of Italians. Most clubs just shopped in a different market by buying players from cheaper leagues of countries under the EU, notably Slovenia. If the FIGC was intent on actually making teams go for domestic talent over cheap foreign alternative, an easier option would have been to enforce the number of foreigners, irrespective of nationality, that can feature in any domestic league match. But this would directly violate the EU rules and regulations for equal opportunity. Such a move even when restricted to the non-EU nations(i.e. restricting number of non-EU players that can be part of a match squad) would have seriously hampered clubs like Inter and Catania to put out competitive teams.

Restriction on the number of signings from outside of non-EU instead deprived clubs to go for the right talent available to them at the right cost. When the league is already struggling with the UEFA coefficient and has dropped below Bundesliga for the first time since the UEFA coefficients were put in place, this rule was crippling the top clubs from actually improving Italy’s position. Milan had bought Taye Taiwo, the left back from Olimpique Marseille who was till now the only non-EU signing for the club. A new window of opportunity has now opened for Milan and other clubs in the peninsula by this relaxation of FIGC. Now let us see some of the players who might come to Milan after this new ruling.

Paolo Henrique Ganso is the most common name that is on every Milan fan’s lips. His talent is undoubted and at 21, Brazil manager Mano Menezes has enough faith in him to be the lynchpin of the new Brazil that will take shape for the 2014 World Cup. Thiago Silva describes him as a “midfield organizer”. He is more a Riquelme than a Ricky Kaka but is he dynamic enough to fit into Massimiliano Allegri’s new aggressive and versatile Milan side. Can he fit into a midfield role or does he need to be in the trequartista position only. Can he operate with his perceived lack of pace, in a league where defenders and midfield enforces would be vicious on him. Most importantly is he fit enough for the move after 2 injury layoffs, one of which was for over nine months. Answers to these questions would determine if Milan would go for him.

Danilo Luiz da Silva is a 19 year old who is a teammate of Ganso at Santos and part of the victorious Brazil team of 2011 South American Youth Championships. He really came to fame after this goal in the final of the Copa Libertadores. Danilo is touted as Maicon’s heir but I find more similarities with Maicon’s rival for that Selecao right back position, Dani Alves. Like Dani, Danilo is versatile enough playing as a right back and in the midfield. He has bursts of speed which would bring memories of another former Selecao right back, Il Pendolino, Cafu. But at 19 years old, he is still very young for a defender. The tactical awareness that is required for a league like Serie A, is hardly expected from such a young defender playing in Brazil. Even if he is bought, he might require some time to get accustomed to the league and hence teams may prefer to not swoop for him immediately.

Arturo Vidal, is the second 24 year Chilean who had a breakout season across Europe. Despite being only 24, he has extensive European experience, having played for Bayer Leverkusen since 2007. He was one of the architects of Leverkusen matching their best ever Bundesliga showing of being a runner-up, after a decade. Vidal is 1.81 mts tall, can play anywhere in the midfield and in the defense. He is a Chile national team regular and has European experience. Does this match any particular description? Well add to it that Leverkusen director, Rudi Voeller said that Milan had bid 10m for him and Leverkusen were holding out for 15m. The surmise is if any one can fit Allegri’s idea of a midfielder, surely Vidal can and there are other Serie A clubs who are on the prowl as is Bayern Munich so any move, would have to be made quickly.

Luka Modric, is one of those players who are in the shopping list of most big teams. Milan have been linked to him countless times and the vacancy in the midfield can be very well filled by someone of his calibre. Till now, in addition to the exorbitant fees asked by Tottenham, the other problem was his lack of an EU passport. But this season, it seems Tottenham would be selling Gareth Bale and Modric both to fund a revitalization of other parts of the team. Rafael van der Vaart has said if Bale and Modric wishes to leave, they are free to do so. With the additional EU spot opening up, it might be a good chance for Milan to go for this pint sized dynamo now.

Sandro Ranieri Guimarães Cordeiro or simply Sandro is a club mate of Modric at Tottenham and another player who impressed Allegri in his display at San Siro during the Champions League 2nd round match. He was handed his Selecao debut when under Dunga but has matured more and is probably suited to a jump into a top European club. Classified as a defensive midfielder who gets forward, he may inherit the role of current captain Massimo Ambrosini once he retires.

All five of these players have been linked to Milan at one point or other and a few of them on a daily basis. With the opening of the new window of opportunity, it is time that raw speculation be converted into a concrete business deal. Come august end, you may check back to find one of these five to have become the latest coup for Galliani.

The “Secondo extracomunitario” or the second non-EU slot has been approved this afternoon at the Lega Calcio and the Italian teams will be able to sign two players who don’t hold a European passport again.

This decision has a big effect of the transfer market of the Italians: Napoli want Arturo Vidal, Inter are after Carlos Tevez, Juventus on Michel Bastos and Danilo and the Rossoneri are interested in Ganso & Danilo.

One slot is already used by Milan following the signing of the Nigerian Taye Taiwo on Bosman transfer. It would not be a surprise if Milan will not sign any non-EU player this summer, but wait until January.

Lazio President Claudio Lotito believes “it will help to bring the best players to Italy.” The quota was 1 player because the Federation wanted the big teams to use more Italians; the experiment failed.
